This week in restaurant marketing was all about the holidays. Various chains are pushing their holiday specials and those that are open on Christmas and New Years are holding special events. Here’s a look at what’s new in the world of restaurant marketing.
More holiday specials
Restaurants that are open on Christmas this year are pushing their holiday deals this week. Bar Louie, for instance, which is open throughout the holiday season, has several deals in store for diners.
The chain is offering a wine bottle bundle including a bottle of Dark Horse Cabernet or Chole Pinot Grigio, one Bar Bite and two main plate entrees for the price of $69.50. The wine bundle is on offer for dine-in guests at participating locations until Dec. 30. And Bar Louie is extending its Burger Tuesday deal all week long. Diners can purchase a signature craft burger with a side of fries or tots for $8 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and all day on Tuesday, until the end of the year. The next offer is the 3 for $35 Bar Bites deal where diners can mix and match three appetizers when dining in, until the end of the football season.
Razzoo’s Cajun Cafe has some drink specials in store for New Years week. That, plus National Bloody Mary Day on Jan.1 means the eatery has Bloody Mary specials on deck as well. From Tuesday to Jan. 1, diners can score $5 Moonshine Mary’s and $5 Mimosas while dining in. The chain is also introducing a line of holiday drinks, including the Holiday Henny and the Sparkling Peach Margarita.
And holiday celebrations
Shoney’s is hosting a Christmas Day feast on Monday featuring an all-you-care-to-eat fresh food bar, starting at 11 a.m. In addition, kids aged four and younger eat free with the purchase of the fresh food bar. The holiday feast features favorites like slow-roasted, hand carved in-house turkey, cornbread dressing, sliced ham, mashed potatoes and more. To-go individual meals will also be available for purchase.
And for diners looking for a place to bring in the new year, Bar Louie is hosting a celebration with a four-course dinner for two available 3-10 p.m. for $75. Then, starting at 10 p.m., the chain is offering a late-night food and drink package for two, which includes two appetizers, six drink tickets and midnight champagne toast. Tickets for the late-night celebration are $100.
French dining venue LouLou is hosting a New Years dinner party. The event will feature two prix fixe menus, two DJs, live music, party favors and more. The menu features the Vegan Moussaka, Poulet Aux Morilles, Duck Parmentier and prime Rib Eye Flambée.
Gift card deals
For diners looking for last-minute stocking stuffers, gift cards may be the way to go. And some chains are offering special deals on their gift cards. Miller’s Ale House, for instance, is holding a holiday gift card flash sale. Guests will receive two $10 bonus cards with every $50 gift card purchased through Sunday. And Chuck E. Cheese is offering a $10 bonus gift card with every $50 gift card purchased.
