Arby’s launched a new limited-time sauce Thursday, inspired by the cover image on Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter country music album.
Chardonneigh’s Horsey Sauce, introduced to time with Saturday’s Kentucky Derby, is a spin on Arby’s classic Horsey Sauce. The original is a creamy blend of mayonnaise and horseradish created to complement Arby’s iconic roast beef sandwich. Chardonneigh's Horsey Sauce—you guessed it—infuses that blend with Chardonnay flavor.
A little before Cowboy Carter was released at the end of March, Beyoncé posted the album cover on Instagram showing the singer sitting on a white steed. An executive at Parkwood Entertainment, her record producer, revealed that the horse’s name is Chardonneigh.
Chardonneigh's Horsey Sauce comes in a frosted glass wine bottle and features the silhouette of a horse in mid gallop. Later this month, it will be available for sale online at arbys.com/chardonneigh for $16. Fans can can join Arby's Rewards to be the first to learn additional details including on-sale dates, shipping dates and exclusive access to purchase.
This isn’t the first time Arby’s has branded a premium item to sell online. In October, 2022, the Atlanta-based fast-food chain introduced Arby’s Smoked Bourbon to capture the flavor of its smoked brisket sandwich in a spirit; it sold for $60.
Walmart sells Arby’s original Horsey Sauce for $3.98, but for those who crave the cachet and connection to Beyoncé, $16 should seem like deal.
